Brenda

This is a page dedicated to my sister Brenda. I'm sure when I told her that I was going to make a scrapbook page of her in her bathing suite, she had fear in her eyes! This is a photo I took of Brenda just this past December when we were in Miami.

The page I created was based on a challenge over at Soul Scrappers hosted by the wonderful Lean. The challenge is TC33 .

Mostly everything used here is stampin up. I had fun using the new doily punch featured in the summer mini catalogue.

Happy Easter

This is an Easter page I created using digital scrapbooking. the photos are of my niece Elizabeth. On the weekend we decorated some easter eggs. I did one and she did the rest. They turned out so pretty. I had to take some photos or course.

Just Beachy

Here is my two page layout I did for my good friend Joan. I used beach sand on each of the pages as I think it gives a great effect on a summer page. Thank for looking.

Embossing folder

This was a cute card we made in stamp class. The circles are punched out of cardstock and glued to the espresso cardstock. Then you fun the whole card front thru your big shot using an embossing folder. The result looks like you have a textured dsp.

Screen 2 Scrap April challenge

Here is my entry for the April screen 2 scrap challenge blog. Screen 2 Scrap is a fun blog run by the great Shazza & friends. Each month there is a challenge to create a page based on a movie. THis months movie is Singin in the rain. So here is my page that I created. All supplies used are Stampin Up except the photo die. It's from Sizzix for the big shot.

idea for kids

This was a really cute idea my sister found in a magazine. I think they are adorable. My niece was able to help assemble and then she brought them to school as a treat.

My Easter Card

here I have created an Easter card for this year. I wanted to use chalk to put some colour on the flowers as I haven't used my chalk in SOOOO long. All products used here are current Stampin UP. Thanks for stopping by.

My First ATC

This is my first ever Artist Trading Card. I was in a swap over at Soul Scrappers and this was my entry. The theme was "love". At first I didn't really know what to do with the card as they are about the size of a baseball card. It was suggested to me to use them as embellishments for a full size card or for a scrapbook page so I thought perfect. I'll give it a try. The card you create is suppose to be a small piece of art that you created using whatever. It was fun to give this a go and now I am entering another swap for May. I'm looking forward to seeing what the other swapping ladies have created.

Another Mojo

This was one of the old mojo monday card sketch challenges that I had done. Here I have used the fun pom pom ribbon and Suite stitches dsp all from Stampin up.

Place in the Sun pg 2

Here is my second page for "my place in the sun " online free classes. This page was to take photos of what I see out my backdoor. Well it was snowing so I thought some of the snow covers summer items looked nice with the snow. They are my chairs & flower pot. The third photo is of my dog Lulu. I often see her staring in the house when I put her out back for some fresh air.

My Place in the Sun

This is a page I have finally completed for "Place in the Sun" . It's a free year long scrapbooking course being offered by Jane Howden . This course is offered to anyone and is about scrapbooking your home. It thought I would give it a try. I have added a link to Jane's blog . It's under the heading "my blogging friend" and is called Scrap Beginnings. So check it out.

This was another great swap card I received. The flower is made with the thin sheets of wood that SU sells.

Swap card # 1

I was in a card swap recently and this was one of the cards I received. This card was made by Kathy House. I really like the idea she had of using the embossing folder to make a design on part of the front and back. It really gives a beautiful effect.

Colours used here are so saffron, real red, marina mist & vanilla. Of course everything is from my favorite company, Stampin Up!!

Funny picture

I was outside taking some photos of my scrapbooking pages when I decided to take a photo of Lulu bathing herself in the sun. It wasn't until later that I noticed my cat peering through the door spying on us. I just thought it looked funny. Thanks for stopping by.

My Crafty Sister

This is my sister Amy. Her son Taren's binder for school fell apart and instead of buying him a new one, she decided to create a fun binder that he would love. I think it turned out very cool.

So what Amy did here was take the binder apart. She took off the front and back & kept the middle part with the metal rings and also the cardboard front and back . With the cardboard she cut out different skateboarding words & images and modgepodged them to the cardboard. One picture here shows some photos I took of Taren. My Olympus camera has a feature called drawing. It's where you take a picture of someone and it creates a drawing of them. That is what Amy used to put on the front of the binder.

After modgepodging everything, Amy used duct tape to assemble everything back together. Lucky Uncle Richard had some red duct tape which went so well with all the images.

I think this was a fun clever project Amy created and Taren loved it.

Sweet treat cup valentine

Earlier this wk was Valentine's Day and my good friend Joan surprised me with this cute little sweet treat cup card. I think it's just adorable. Thanks Joan.

Bliss SAB 2011

Here I am trying out my new Sale-A-Brations set. It's called Bliss. I like the design of the large stamp and then the little flower and bird are fun to add on the card too.

Ink: Rich razzleberry, Espresso

Paper: crumb cake, espresso & rich razzleberry

Stamps: Bliss, Well scripted (retired)

Punches: 1 3/4 & 2 1/2 inch circles

Misc: rich razzleberry satin ribbon, champaign glass glitter (used crystal effects to adhere)
