Birthday # 3 for Screen 2 Scrap
This month with Shazza and the girls over at Screen 2 Scrap, the challenge is to create a birthday themed page using one of their DT sketches.
I created a page using a sketch from Jennifer Manis. I had fun with a masculine theme.

Grad
Last month I was asked by a coworker to make a card to a grade 7 grad. I struggled with this for a bit because I didn't want to make a card that was too mature. I came up with this. At first I didn't have the background stamped behind the owl but it looked too plain. I thought I would jazz it up a bit. I like how it turned out and hopefully the grad did too.
It's been awhile
Well I have to admit, it's been awhile. Awhile since I have created a scrap page at all. I needed to take a brake and have some "Karen" time. I just wasn't feeling creative so I was concerned when I finally sat down to create a page for Mary's challenge WC12 over at Soul Scrappers. I ended up being pleasantly surprised with myself. I really like how my page turned out. The colours and banner added so much to the page. Thanks Mary for motivating me to give it a go.

A Gift
This was a gift my sister made for me. I thought it was so great. It's to hold and organize your birthday cards that you send out. I love the dsp she used and the time & effort she put into it.
Thanks Amy!

Grafitti
Recently I was in Las Vegas and driving around trying to find the North Outlet Mall, we took a wrong turn and found some amazing grafitti. Now I don't support the aspect of defacing someone elses property, I just love the styles, the colours, the different fonts etc. I suggested we get out of the car and take some photos. My husband wasn't too keen on the idea but I think I got some cool shots.

Watercolour card
Wow it has been a long time. A new year has started and I thought I would post a card to my neglected blog. This card was made using my reinkers and water color paper from Stampin up. I used the paint brush below that holds water. I then picked up my ink with the paint brush and applied directly to the watercolour paper. Because the paint brush itself holds water, it makes it easy to more the ink around the paper. I then let the ink dry and later stamped my Happy Birthday image overtop. Lastly I added a button to add some dimension. This card is fairly easy to make if you have the supplies. You can certainly use any colour combinations you like.
The colours I choose to use were real red, pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, old olive & tempting turquoise.
Stamp set used is Perfectly Penned.

Brenda
This is a page dedicated to my sister Brenda. I'm sure when I told her that I was going to make a scrapbook page of her in her bathing suite, she had fear in her eyes! This is a photo I took of Brenda just this past December when we were in Miami.
The page I created was based on a challenge over at Soul Scrappers hosted by the wonderful Lean. The challenge is TC33 .
Mostly everything used here is stampin up. I had fun using the new doily punch featured in the summer mini catalogue.
