Notes

This was a project that I had made using the Best Wishes and More stamp set. I base of the project uses vanilla cardstock that is folded and taped on each side, creating an envelope. I mini cards fit on one side and the envelopes on the other. I did put a little pattern paper on the envelope flap to create a bit of interest. Colours used are pink pirouette, baja breeze, vanilla and Choc Chip ribbon.

This was the wedding card that I made for Heather. I made two just so I would have an extra. It was really simple and quite elegant. It's just whisper white cardstock with a pattern from the textiles paper from SU. I then embossed the "Fairy Tales" in silver and tied the organza ribbon around the card.

Inside he card, I used the same textiles paper and punched out a heart. Behind the heart, I put a small piece of paper to pop it out. I also embossed the inside saying to keep it looking the same.

Thanks Trista for letting me use your stamp set!! I had to buy one myself after this.

A "Sweet" Surprise

Today I came home from work to find a sweet surprise waiting for me on my doorstep! This was a very thoughtful basket given to me from one of my stamping friends, Sherri. It just made my day. It was just to say "thank you". It's the unexpected things like this that make us feel special. Thanks again Sherri!

My Decor Elements

Just thought I would share the decor elements I have on my walls with you. I really like them and think they add alot to the wall. My tall grass looks a little tilted here but it's just the angle. The colouring in these photos isn't the best but you get the idea. The best part about these is they were easy to put up, no husband needed!! I put them up when he's at work and then see if he says anything when he gets home. So far he likes them. I probably wouldn't take them down if he didn't like them though (ha ha) ....

Eastern Blooms

I love the colour combo of this card. I used Kiwi Kiss and Regal Rose with a little Choc Chip to layer. The pattern paper on the side is from Raspberry Tart.

using vellum

With this card, I stamped on cardstock vellum with my image and stazon, then I coloured the image with SU markers. I let it dry for a minute, then I turned it over and embossed the other side of the image with Iridescent Ice. They I cut out the flowers and adhered them to my card.

Swap cards

I got my mail today and how exciting for me when I discovered that the cards had arrived for the swap that I was in with some other demos. I love these swaps because I end up getting some really great cards and it gets my creative juices flowing!! Anyway, here are two cards that I received.
The first one is by Kathy House. I think this card is adorable. It uses the Forest Friend and Curvy Verses stamp sets. Other supplies are, choc chip, vanilla, barely banana paper, #2 circle sizzix, texture plate (used with the big shot) organza ribbon, dazzling diamonds
The second card I also love. It just gives me thoughts of summer and since we just got a big dump of snow yesterday, thinking about summer is a good thing. This card was made by a demo named Lynne. The card stock is pacific point, kiwi kiss, summer sun. The combo is so great together. The stamp set used is from the mini catalogue called Just Beachy. The wheel called Lazy Days was also used. The card itself is a spinner card so the little fish will spin around when you move the card.
I'm off to do a little stamping of my own now. I hope you enjoyed seeing these cards.

All about Baja Breeze

In the new SU mini catalogue, there is a scrapbooking page. This is my version in the way of a card. I love the colour and my new favorite things are the the corduroy buttons. The paper I used is baja breeze, basic grey, and Walk in the park DSP. I also used the 1" double stitched baja ribbon. The going grey paper was punched with the new eyelet border punch. The stamp set I used here was Sincere Salutations with baja ink, then punched with the wide oval and scallop.

Storage for punches tip

This is an inexpensive way to store your punches . These racks are in the kitchen section at Ikea. The name is BYGEL rails. They are only $2.99 and hold about 13 of the large punches. I found the idea on another stamping blog and thought the idea was genius!! Ikea also has baskets that hang off of these that you can put other stuff in for storage. My bottom rail has baskets on it but it's cut off the picture. I just thought I would share this idea you. Hope it helps.

Storage and use of my Glitter

This is a tip that I use for my glitter. I store it in the glad type containers with a spoon so when I use it, it's simple. I just put my project over top of the container, spoon on some glitter, tap off the excess and then just put the lid back on my glitter container and put away, it's that easy and no cleanup! I'm terrible at the clean up part.

This was a cute little card that I thought I would share with you. I received it from another demo (Winona Semler) The colours used are pink pirouette, choc chip and kiwi kiss. The flower in the middle is a fleurette which is new to SU this year. The centre of the flower has a pearl from the pretties kit. The ribbon used is kiwi kiss satin double sided.

Sticky Cuts Sweet Card

This is so much fun for me to be able to share some of the projects that I do. I do hope that you are enjoying seeing them. This card was a cute card using the Sticky Cuts Sweet from SU. They are die cut images that are similar to double sided tape where they are sticky on both sides. You peel off the backing, place the image on your project, then pull of the backing on the top of the image and pour glitter or beads over it. Then all you have to do is brush off the excess glitter or beads and you're done!! They are a simple way to add glitter to your projects. On this card above, I used the chunky glitter. The paper I used was kraft, pink pirouette. celery and I piece of some retired patterned paper. The ribbon is the kraft taffeta ribbon. The centre of the flower is a button from the latte pack and the centre is from the pretties kit.

God's Beauty

When I was at a regional SU seminar in Edmonton in March, I saw a card that I thought was very beautiful. This card is cased from the one I saw. It is using the God's beauty and Touch of Nature stamp set . The paper used is white glossy that has been brayered with summer sun and pumpkin pie ink (blend so you don't have a line). The grass is embossed in black on top. The butterfly is embossed also on a scrap piece of white and cut out. I coloured the butterfly with summer sun and pumpkin markers. I popped the butterfly out a bit with dimensions and then added basic gray taffeta ribbon. I also used my big shot to cut out the top note design. God's Beauty stamp set in a level one hostess set.
